Once in a blue moon, we find a destination so peaceful, so beautiful and so romantic and we sat down for a beautiful fresh cut salad basket with fresh herbs served in garden pots and some breads to go with.
For starters you can select from wide variety of traditional Turkish cold plates or cold fish plates like Levrek (seabass marinated and fresh herbs and citrus) , Midye Dolma (mussels stuffed with brown rice, nuts and spices) and also dishes like Haydari (yogurt mixed with cucumber and mint) and Manca (grilled eggplant dish). Ingredient quality and cooking skill was impeccable in everything we tried, from a creamy ‘Atom’ (grilled eggplant, served with garlic yoghurt and spicy ATOM sauce) to a bold flavored Ciroz (sundried mackerel marinated in vinegar and olive oil served with fresh dill).
Buzzing and bustling of beach grill station on the one hand, I was taken over by a dreamy dish – Ahtapot (grilled octopus served in a casserole with olive oil and dried oregano) – Oh boy, it tasted so exquisite that I have grazed it wholly with a glass of sparking in hand to wash it down.
