The brunch was filled with the ‘bomb’ grub (that’s yummy awesome Asian fusion food) and ‘far out’ bottomless house beverages.
They offers something completely new, a sophisticated Asian inspired World cuisine that uses contemporary and traditional techniques to bring a modern twist to the authentic flavors of Asian cuisine. Delicious eats from their intriguing menu were brought to the table and also brunch showcases Peking duck station. we started off with a watering array of dim sums tower comprising of chicken dumpling, spicy beef and scallion dumpling, crab prawn &mushroom dumpling and vegetable dumplings.
Followed by it, we were served a sophisticated platter of sushi and sashimi with a spread of sashmi ceviche, nigiri and classic California. The locally sourced seafood combined with precision technique made it a memorable one.
Moving on to small plate serving of Asian meatballs, crispy ginger soy chicken and Asian crab croquette . My favorite pick was Asian crab croquette with Japanese mayonnaise giving it a distinct taste. The savory part of our meal finished off with Spiced BBQ short ribs with kimchi pickle cabbage and Grilled sechuan striploin with chimichurri sauce. The later one was my favorite that was grilled to perfection and bursting with chargrilled flavor, making me wish it was served earlier in the meal when I wasn’t as full and could have appreciated this dish to it’s fullest. It was certainly one of the tastiest dish from the menu.
The desserts were the show-stopper of TOY Brunch that included the infamous ‘Banana in a Box’ and Asian apple tart. Undoubtedly the crowd’s favorite was the playful ‘Banana in a Box’ that had a sinfully delicious concoction of caramelized banana, vanilla ice cream, and macadamia nougatine in a flame-ball chocolate dome.
