Situated at Bay Square tucked away in a plaza level of a complex, a restaurant lined with twinkling fairy pink lights is the best casual Thai restaurant I have dined in. Offering so much more than the classically understood Thai green and red curries, Fuchsia is the type of restaurant you will return again and again for comforting food.

As we walked through the door we just knew we were in for great Thai food. With stylish decor featuring vibrant pink color scheme and funky lighting has an inviting atmosphere despite its large size.

After being shown to our seats I spent a while flicking through the their menu choosing what to eat. I played it safe by ordering best seller and signature dishes like steamed seabass, lamb shank curry, minced salad chicken and a assorted appetizer platter. We started off with a cold coconut water to complement Thai dishes.

The food at Fuchsia is as vivid and bright-flavored as it comes. Authentic levels of spice and sauces that carry a powerful thwack of flavor and make it stand-out, while their friendly service makes the dinning even better. The menu is paired down to a handful of classic Thai dishes. Thai cuisine offers complex flavors that combine hot, sour, sweet and salty, and the dishes at this restaurant showcased it beautifully as the menu offers a journey through intense Thai flavors and bursts with color.

Either way, it is vivid flavors that makes it stand out from the crowd- fresh herbs, limes and fresh chilies are used in abundance giving their food a vibrant flavor. All the classic Thai dishes are done here and done well, while lighter options such as the steamed seabass stands out for its fragrant flavors and was attractively presented too. It was one of the most delicious main course from their menu.

Our wild card order was the lamb shank curry which turned out to be our favorite! I couldn’t get over just how good this dish was! The lamb shank fell off the bone, the sauce was thick and rich, created the perfect meal. After sampling this dish I feel ignorant for not visiting them earlier. I’ll certainly be their regular face from now onward.

Other unforgettable dishes include the minced salad with chicken. It had a spicy tone but it’s effect is thrilling like setting off fireworks of taste and texture in your mouth. What makes it even more delectable is the fresh and crunchy herbs in it. And for dessert we opted for infamous sticky mango rice and it turned out so good as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Fuchsia, everything from the service to the food were spot on. It’s a place to enjoy good food at reasonable prices on mid-week or kick back and catch up friends on weekend over some good Thai food.
